  1. Maybe I’m an anomaly, but the whole “ehrmagerd I hope she’s not going to start blogging about pregnancy/baby/wedding/moving/whatever is going on in the blogger’s life”-thing has always puzzled me. I read the blogs that I read because I somehow feel a bit of a connection to them – in your case, you were a vegan who posted wrote about hiking, and I’m an aspiring vegan (damn you, pizza and milk chocolate!) who loves hiking – and if they totally avoid posting about personal stuff or what’s most important in their lives at that moment, that connection is lost.

Anyhoo, I’m excited to keep following along with your changes!

  2. Interesting…I’m re-evaluation direction and content so it’s nice to hear I’m not the only one. I do feel like the best bloggers are those who do share life’s trials and tribulations. Good luck with finding your new way.

  3. I’m with Trailsnails that it’s funny to me that people only want one facet of a person and not the rest – though honestly if I could create filteres or groups like a Portland group or Food group or Photography group I probably would depending on what sometimes I’m in the mood to browse through sometimes. Whatever you decide to do I look forward to what you’ll do in 2017!

  4. I have had a few different blogs and for me, personally, the best decision I ever made was to combine everything into one blog. All aspects are intertwined, and honestly: that’s what blog categories are for! It is rare that someone comes to your site in general; most people arrive through a link to specific content, and from there they can pick and choose what they want to read. Even if they do arrive at your site’s home page by general inquiry, they have the power to read what they want and skip what they don’t want. You do you, girl! šŸ˜‰

  5. I have a similar dilemma as I have a blog about salad and am in the process of creating another about metalsmithing and jewelry making. Two completely different subjects! But I know there will be people who want to engage with both, and some who will engage with on and not the other. I’m curious to see what direction you decide to go. Good luck, from one Lindsay to another

Congrats on the pregnancy!! I read both your blogs and I really didn’t know why they weren’t combined. Combine away.. simplify life where you can. People can easily pick and choose which of your entries they want to read.
