  1. I was looking for camping food ideas today and saw a suggestion to make burritos with whatever filling you like and then wrap them in foil. Apparently you can heat them in the fire and then they are all grilled and delicious. I am going to be trying that too. I love to cook at home, but cooking over a fire or packing and cleaning camp stove stuff doesn’t appeal to me at all. Burritos though, that definitely appeals to me! =-)

  2. My biggest tip: Prep ahead of time! If I’m on top of my game, I’ll chop a ton of veggies (broccoli, peppers, onions, potatoes, etc – whatever I have on hand) and then when we’re at the camp site wrap them in foil to make a pouch. Then I throw ’em on the coals and get roasted veggies in about a half-hour. It’s soooo good! And it’s way easier than chopping a ton of food on a precarious, makeshift table.

We have done a egg/tofu scramble with veggies and could use veggie sausage and wrapped it in a flour tortilla for a breakfast wrap.
